چکیده
Current practices of condition assessment in large marine engines are largely based on the measurement cylinder pressure using external kits, which poses challenges due to sensors synchronisation and durability issues, as well inability perform continuous monitoring. For addressing these challenges, this study aims at developing a novel method solve inverse problem predicting variations all engine cylinders, by Instantaneous Crankshaft Torque (ICT) for internal combustion engines. Failure Analysis of a Four Cylinder Diesel Engine Crankshaft Made From Nodular Cast Iron
The premature breakage in some four cylinder diesel engine crankshafts was reported. All crankshafts were failed from the same region. Failures had occurred in the first crankpin, the nearest crankpin to the flywheel. Dynamic analysis and finite element modelling were carried out to determine the state of stress in the crankshaft. FEM results revealed that the first crankpin fillet is the most ...

Abstract In this paper, a novel technique based on fuzzy method is presented for chaotic nonlinear time series prediction. Fuzzy approach with the gradient learning algorithm and methods constitutes the main components of this method. This learning process in this method is similar to conventional gradient descent learning process, except that the input patterns and parameters are stored in mem...
متن کاملA Computational Comparison between Revetec Engine and Conventional Internal Combustion Engines on the Indicated Torque
This paper investigates the effect of replacing crankshaft with cam on the indicated torque during compression and power strokes in internal combustion engines. A Cycloidal cam profile was used in Revetec engine to calculate and compare the torque to a conventional engine, using a computational method. Firstly, the cylinder pressure was calculated using Ferguson equation, and then the torque ca...
